Community Management Associates - Worst company I've dealt with
We purchase quite and few lots and build custom homes. In one particular neighborhood we have to deal with CMA and they are incredibly unethical.
A couple examples: when purchasing we order a resale certificate to clear up and outstanding liens or fines against the property. This is always a sellers responsibility as it is their property. 3 times we have closed and any liens that were discovered were paid for at the closing. But on three occasions CMA files more annonimous liens the day before closing against the property and they end up being my problem.
Each closing has resulted in about $400 in fines. So when we ask them to remove them because they were never on the resale certificate: silence. And the late fees start piling up. We also have nearly $10,000 in fines on two other properties because of silly silly items that the {{REDACTED}} "community manager" has notated on our lots.
Literally some of our brush that was cleared to pour the pad was in a neighboring lot that belonged to ME. Seriously. That fine is nearly $800 now because it keeps growing at $100 a day. And they won't communicate or anything.
I am hiring an attorney this week but want people to know the truth. Corrupt, greedy, unethical and downright disgusting.
Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Better hope their lawyers are not Lazenga Johansson aka Jonathan Benator. All the worst and low life bill collectors. Crud of the earth.
I’ll give you a great attorney if you need it
CMA loves to generate fees, which is all they do. Our property manager did nothing but look for ways to fine residents.
He sat in the office and watched the cameras.
Meanwhile, the accounting went by the wayside. They left with unpaid bills and missing equipment.
We are about to file a suit against them as well. What was the outcome of your case? I'm not sure if you live in the Atlanta area, but if so, who did you hire to represent you?
I’ve had similar issues and they simply can’t produce a ledger that is accuarate. I have received three ledgers all which are different.
When attempting to question the alleged debt from 2016 I was sent to GAR which is a collection company.
I can’t get a sensible, reasonable nor clear answer about the 2016 debt that appeared out of nowhere. I’ve been asking since August and so far I haven’t made any progress.
